VI: Community of Practice

The NLC Civility & Servant Leadership Exchange

Consistent with our shared vision, we wish to celebrate and restore faith in America and its humanities through the NLC Civility & Servant Leadership Exchange – our better stated – The NLC “Exchange.”

Why Exchange? It is who we are and what we do. We are in the business of “giving and receiving,” we are considered to be “a place where things or services are exchanged,” and we are “a central location where things are connected for communication.”

In this Exchange, we are a Community of Practice – practicing the art and science of Civility and Servant Leadership. To achieve this end, we are laser-focused on Civility, Respect, Engagement and Faith for the wellbeing of – Veterans, Youth, Families and Communities.

In this we wish to give and receive ideas, experiences, energy and support for one another. As an “Exchange” we become engaged with multiple partners in service to another.

In the last five years, we have been introduced to impactful servant leaders. We have worked along -side many. We have followed many to the very end of their lives. From pilot events, programming projects and research, we have covered the very best do what they do for Civility and Servant Leadership.

The “Exchange” is one body with moving parts working together as a unified system to make a collective impact. From mental health to homelessness, from education to employment, from family to business – our history of significant progress has paved the way for our future. It has taken many volunteers with great dedication.

With The Exchange being our signature initiative, dedicated we are…
